Template function for new release/iterations

Daniel Reilly (1431620) | asked Apr 18 '11, 4:52 p.m.
Is there a template function for generating a new release/iteration in an existing project?

I'm looking for something similar to the process template - variable substitution, configurable iterations - but for an existing project, within an existing timeline.

Duplicate is nice, but a bit too simple.

Hello,

There is not a single feature that does what you are looking for. You can file an enhancement request against the Process component to track the request.

Meanwhile, the simplistic Duplicate action and Iteration types may help you get part way to your goal. Iteration types allow you to configure the process in a generic way and then apply it to specific iterations.

Martha,

Yes, I'd like to open an enhancement request on this. How do I go about doing that?
