Update WebSphere Variable Value?

Matt Walter (111) | asked Apr 12 '11, 11:13 a.m.
I need to update the value of an existing variable in WebSphere during our install process, namely DB2UNIVERSAL_JDBC_DRIVER_NATIVEPATH. Doing an -augment doesn't work since it won't replace the value, but doing an -execute replaces the entire tree. Is there any way to just update a couple of the values?

Thanks!

One approach is to use the promote function instead of execute or augment. Promote allows to change config settings in any configuration file using xpath expression or name/value pairs.
