Can components be move to a new project?

I am working with a client that has a single project with 42 components, each used in a single stream.

Is it possible to break this one project into several projects each containing a couple of the components? Work items can be moved, but I have not seen a way to move a component.

You can change ownership of the components to another project area. Components can also be used in streams that aren't owned by the same project area. As long as the user has access to the component, they can use it.

A component can be added to a stream in any project, so you don't have
to "move" them to manipulate them in other projects. There is exactly
one "owner" of a project (which determines access control on that
component, and which project's "Source Control -> Components" folder it
appears in). You can modify the owner of a Component by right clicking
on the component and changing the owner.

Geoff
