What is the best way to extent RAFW to support other servers

John Wang (1011612) | asked Mar 07 '11, 1:56 p.m.
In WAS V7's admin console, I see there are MQ server and DP definitions.

Currently, the RAFW can execute scripts on WAS and IHS. How about the MQ Servers and DP? Is possible to extend the RAFW to execute script on these?

Thanks.

In the WebSphere Admin Console, there is "some" support for WebSphere MQ and WebSphere DataPower but I would caution you that those are not complete management of the underlying products.

Currently, the Rational Automation Framework for WebSphere (RAFW) supports IBM HTTP Server, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Virtual Enterprise, WebSphere Portal, WebSphere Process Server, WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus, and WebSphere Services Repository and Registry.

It is possible to extend RAFW, you can take a look at the InfoCenter for information on that. If you would like to have a discussion about the future roadmap for RAFW, please do not hesitate to contact me privately but I am unable to provide that information in a public forum.
