RFT Adapter status Red even though it's connected

Michael Walker (99215201157) | asked Feb 24 '11, 3:20 a.m.
Hi,

I have RQM 3.0 and RFT 8.2 installed on separate servers. I configured the RFT Adapter using https://<rqmserver>:9443/qm, added my id/pswd and was able to select my Project Area. I then connected successfully.

When I go into RQM and bring up the Adapter Console I can see the Adapter I defined listed there now but it's always a Red color for status.

Is there anything else I need to setup to get RQM to recognize the Adapter is started?

A few ideas to try:

1) Be certain the URL you are using in the RFT adapter matches your servers Public URI as seen on the Status Summary tab on the qm's admin page (https://<rqmserver>:9443/qm/admin). If a qualified domain name is used for the Public URI, then also use the same qualified name for the adapter (not the servers IP address).

2) Make sure the user has either a RQM Connector or RQM Quality Professional Client Access Licenses, as seen on the users profile page.

3) Edit the project area you are connecting the adapter to and be certain the user the adapter is using has been added as a member to the project area and they have been assigned to the "Team Member" role.
