RFT update baseline data from RQM

mohamed hossain (11) | asked Feb 11 '11, 1:45 p.m.
We are using RFT 8.1, Test Manager 7.0, and Clear Case 7.1 After we execute our scripts from Test Manager, we open our failed verification point to compare actual vs. expected. If we see any mismatch or baseline data require any update, we do File>Replace through comprator which update the verification point. Basically files gets checked out from Clear Case and we can check back in the updated file.

Now if we execute scripts from RQM 2.0.1 Ifix 5 - only option is click on the View details log or import the logs to RFT to view. But no way to update baseline data through Clear Case as do in Test Manager.

Does anyone know why RQM doesn't support the same functionality which is very important and handy? Or is there alternative solution?

We have the same problem, VPs can be edited from log files only if script was run with RFT, but not when it was run through RQM. We think that this is the basic functionality and we expect that IBM will fix it. However we have to find some workaround in mean time. Did you find a way to do it since february ?
We do not want to rerun scripts in RFT just to have baselines updated. Thank you very much.
