RRC 3M12: Browser add-on installs but is not present
Hi,
I have installed the RRC 3M12 browser add-ons. When I attempt to edit a business process diagram, I receive an error message saying the required plugin is not installed. Installation Manager, however, says the browser plugin is indeed installed.
My versions:
Win XP
Firefox 3
Firefox 4
Internet Explorer 8
Javascript is enabled for the browsers. I am running under a userid which belongs to the Administrators group.

In the meantime, I have installed the browser add-ons under Windows 2003 with only Firefox 3 and the plugin works. That is, I am now able to edit sketches, although process diagram editing seems to be suppressed in this build.
I am suspecting that having Firefox 3 and 4 on the same system caused my problems.

Firefox 4.0 is not yet a supported browser for the plug-in.

I can't recall for certain, but I believe if you're seeing that message then you have a pre-GA version of the browser plugin as it can be successfully installed for Firefox 4.0. That said, the message is accurate in that it's not officially supported yet, but we have found it to essentially work fine with rare exception (occasionally the graphical editor will not display properly without resizing the browser window).
