error occurred on adding complexity attribute

Yusuke Kobayashi (31164) | asked Feb 04 '11, 1:22 a.m.
hello.

When I added the complexity attribute on the process configuration(Project Configuration -> Configuration Data -> Planning -> Plan Attributes),the following error occurred on the generated project configuration source code.

"cvc-complex-type.3.2.2: Attribute 'internal' is not allowed to appear in element 'attribute'."

What does this error stands for?
Does this error affect the process behavior?

The following is my environment:

server:
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Service Pack 2
Tomcat Application Server v5.5
Jazz Team Server, Change and Configuration Management v3.0

client:
Microsoft Windows XP Standard Edition Service Pack 3
Rational Team Concert Client V3.0

thanks in advance.

YUSUKE.

Hi Yusuke,

I believe it is not possible to use a date attribute as complexity attribute. I have in those cases used a custom integer attribute.

Hi Ralph,

Thank you for your prompt response.

The following is answer to your question

>Which process template did you base upon?
Simple Team Process.

>What is the type of the complexity attribute you are trying to add?
>Is is an existing one like story points or did you try to create your own?
Maximum estimate which is existing attribute.

Hi Yusuke,

I have not seen something like this.

Interesting for helping to answer would be to know:

Which process template did you base upon? What is the type of the complexity attribute you are trying to add? Is is an existing one like story points or did you try to create your own?

I think, from past experiences, if custom defined, it needs to be some number (Integer) or a string with enumeration values that can be added.

Thanks,

Ralph
