How to setup Collaboration Services

Hi Folks,
I have OpenFire server up and running. How do I get the
collaboration to happen between 2 workspaces in case where I am
emulating 2 users. Do I have to goto preferences for each workspace and
create IM connection for all my team members ?
Appreciate any help I can get.
Regards,
Kartik

Kartik, here's how I connect to OpenFire:
On the OpenFire server, set up accounts for each user with user id's of
the following format:
first_last
For example, if you were to set up an account for me, my user id would
be bryan_hunt. I believe there's an open defect as to why this is
necessary.
On the client, bring up Preferences -> Collaboration -> IM Accounts
Click Add...
Set the Provider to Jabber Server
Enter the server host name - use the default port
Enter the id and password
Check Use this as the default IM account.
You used to be able to delete the default Sametime account, but with M1
if you delete it, it just comes back. They must *really* want you to
use Sametime.
After this is set up, right click on the repository in the Team
Artificats view and select Logout.
Right click again and select Login.
You should now be logged into the Jabber server.
Hopefully the Jazz team will make this easier in future releases.

Wildfire has been replaced by OpenFire, Jivesoftware has been acquired
by ignite realtime. Hence I am using OpenFire instead of WildFire. if
you click on the Wildfire link on the readme.html (server
configuration) it automatically will redirect you to the igniterealtime
website.

Jazz collaboration services work with Openfire 3.3.x. The documentation
has been updated, but probably needs some time to propagate to jazz.net.
Please follow the steps in the Team Server setup guide for the Openfire
3.3.1 installation, and the Team Concert setup guide for connecting a
Jazz client to a Jabber server.
Cheers,
Tobias
Hi Tobias,
The team server setup guide only says the following
pertaining to wildfire
---------------------------------------
Install the Wildfire Jabber Server (optional)
The Wildfire server supports chat sessions inside the Jazz client. If
you are installing Jazz on your local machine and the server will not
be used by others then you may skip or defer this step.
Note that this function has not been extensively tested and at this
stage of Jazz development may not work properly in all situations.
Download and install Wildfire 3.1.1 for your server platform from:
Windows
jivesoftware.org, release 3.1.1 for Windows.
Linux
jivesoftware.org, release 3.1.1 for Linux.
Wildfire is a Java application and that requires the environment
variable JAVA_HOME point to the path where your JAVA JRE is installed.
The path to the java executable in /bin must also be set.
Starting and Stopping the Wildfire server
Windows
* Start the server using Windows start>All
Programs>Wildfire>Wildfire Server.
You may also start the server, from the Wildfire
/bin directory by executing wildfire.exe.
A Wildfire console window will display. Buttons to start and
stop the server are available.
Linux
* To start the server, from the Wildfire /bin
directory, run command: ./wildfire start.
* To stop the server, from the Wildfire /bin
directory, run command: ./wildfire stop.
Completing the Wildfire Installation
From a web browser use this URL http://localhost:9090 to confirm that
Wildfire is running OK. It will bring up the Wildfire administration
setup page. The default user adminstrator id/password is admin/admin.
You can monitor the status of client sessions on the Wildfire
administration console. The Jazz client automatically adds users to
Wildfire (or they can be added manually using the client). The
administration console pages: Users/Groups and Sessions can be helpful
for evaluating possible problems.
Install the Jazz Client and Verify Access to the Server
If your server verification steps are successful, you should now
install the Jazz client and verify that the client can access the
server.
--------------------------------------------
Question is how does the Jazz server acknowledge the OpenFire
installation and how should the client be configured ?
Regards,
Kartik

You can't use OpenFire, Kartik. I believe you need Wildfire 3.2.4. I mm
told that updated setup doc is on it's way in the next integration build.
