"Illegal work item template format" in WEB UI

This work item template works fine from within the RTC Eclipse client, but we are getting error message "Illegal work item template format" as soon as we choose the "Create from Template" option in the Work Items view drop-down menu in the WEB UI. Note: we don't even get to the "Choose Work Item Template" dialog, so it could be the NAME of the template. The template name is "Project Release Template". We are running RTC for System-Z v2.0.0.2 iFix1. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Never mind ... we figured it out and fixed it. I suspected the problem may lie in the NAME of one of the work item templates since we were not being presented with the "Select Template" dialog in the WEB UI. So we reviewed the names of existing work item templates using the RTC Eclipse Client* and we removed two old templates that had a blank (empty) space at the end of their name (who knows how that happened). As soon as we removed the "bad" work item templates, the "Create From Template" function worked correctly in the WEB UI. Obviously the RTC Eclipse Client is more forgiving with template names.
These were the "bad" template names. Note blank space at end.
"t1 "
"Project Release "
* You can remove undesired Work Item Templates via the Process Configuration tab of Project Area in RTC Eclipse Client.
In RTC Eclipse Client ...
Open your project area
Go to Process Configuration tab
Select Project Configuration -> Configuration Data -> Work Items (Advanced) - Shared Work Item Templates
You will see a list of all work item templates. Highlight the template that you want to remove and click the "Remove" button.

I just tried this in 3.0, and trailing spaces were automatically removed
from any template names that I created, so I couldn't duplicate this
problem. Were you able to create new templates with trailing spaces in
their names in 2.0? If so, this is probably something that was fixed in
3.0. If not, then how you got those trailing spaces is a mystery (:-).
Cheers,
Geoff
