Hide Observers from Sprint Plan
5 answers
How can I add a time estimate to a task? If we assign tasks to people I want it to contribute to their loading so I know how much more they can take.
I tried to accomplish this from the Process Configuration tab, from the Work Items Types and Attributes tree item. I then went under custom attributes and added an integer field called time estimate. That field never shows up when I create a new task or edit an old one. Is there another step to this?

This functionality is requested by work item 94565. It is marked as
High priority, but is not currently in-plan for a release. Please feel

Currently they clutter the view by showing up with no work items
assigned to them. Can this be done?
Hi Stephen,
if you started with a standard process template, tasks should have an estimate field that is built in and that you should be able to use. One reason why you would not see that I guess is if you mark a task as top level work item type in the process configuration. The estimate is only available on the execution items which don't have a high level work item type.
Another could be that the editor presentation has been changed not to show the estimate. In that case I would still assume you could see the attribute in the plan.
