RTC "Clone" WI

Yaron Norani (47267064) | asked Jan 19 '11, 6:23 a.m.
Hello,

As a part of the Scrum sprint planning, I need to:
1. Create a Story WI.
2. Create "Child" tasks for the story.

I would like to create several similar tasks, one for each user.
The tasks description, summary and other fields is similar.

I need to "clone" a task or by other automatic way to enable to create several similar tasks.

What are my options?

Thanks,

Yaron

Hi yaron,

you can consider using a template. A template is created from one or more selected work items in a query (In RTC 2.x try the Eclipse UI first). You also need to be admin to create one, since the templates are later maintained in the process configuration of the project. The template can be used to create instances. You are asked for some data that you select as variant creating the template.
