What changed from m6 to m6a? Should you bother upgrading if you're on m6 already?

We have M5a running. Is is better to keep up to date with the milestones, if we want to install the Rational Team Concert 1.0 release when available?

What changed from m6 to m6a? Should you bother upgrading if you're on m6 already? m6 is a milestone build. We deploy the milestone build for our own self hosting. If we find critical fixes during the first week of self hosting we have started to produce a stabilization build of the milestone build. This build is m6a and includes a small number of critical fixes (see below). After approval by the team, the stabilized milestone build is promoted to be the default/recommended download on jazz.net. Here are the fixes that went into m6a: (this list was created by comparing the snapshots corresponding to m6 and m6a) --erich Jazz PMC RelEng 46494: Adopt changes in WaitForTeamBuildTask Build 50857: Maven home text field doesn't validate correctly - Validate when maven home text is changed AgilePlanning 46244: Linux-Text can barely be seen in certain places of the RTC UI. We have M5a running. Is is better to keep up to date with the milestones, if we want to install the Rational Team Concert 1.0 release when available? The build we recommend is shown in on the jazz.net home page in the top right corner. This is currently m6a which is a stabilized m6 milestone build (see my previous post). As a development team we prefer feedback/bugs against the recommended build. For you as a user we hope that you get benefits from using a more recent build. Please see the new&noteworthy for M6a: https://jazz.net/downloads/DownloadDocument.jsp?href=milestones/data/0.6M6a/jazz-news-0.6M6a.html --erich Jazz PMC |
In upgrading from M6 to M6a:
1) Does the repository db need to be upgraded? 2) Will M6 client work against M6a? Thanks. |

FYI, the M6a download page is missing the usually "How to migrate Jazz repository to ..." link.
