Moving plans between projects on different servers

Anders Truelsen (16212020) | asked Dec 13 '10, 4:32 a.m.
Hi

As part of our transition from 2.0 to 3.0 I need to move a single project area from our old 2.0 server to the new 3.0 one.

I want to move all work items and plans for the project.
There is no build or source control items in the project in question.

Ive successfully done an export/import of the work items but Im unsure as how to move the plans.

Any input is appreciated.

I am not aware of a way to export plan data, but note that the only data
associated with a plan are the text pages that you have added to the
plan, which can be copied and pasted (most of the information is the
result of querying against the work items, so if you have imported the
work items, you already have imported most of the information for the plan).

Cheers,
Geoff
