RTC 3.0 very slow. What's wrong with my configuration ?

I have just downloaded RTC 3.0 and performed the installation into a VMWare image. My VMWare image is dimensioned to 1.8 GB RAM (Windows XP). My computer has 3GB RAM. I have used the default installation with Tomcat and Derby.

To start the jazz server it takes about twice more time with RTC 3.0 than with RTC 2.0. Then to launch https://localhost:9443/jts/admin it takes 5 minutes.

Then each action is very slow. It is so slow, that it took me 10 minutes to add a new user after the click on the link Jazz Team Server - User Administration.

I just can't use the product.

The java program C:\Program Files\IBM\JazzTeamServer\server\jre\bin\java.exe takes 96% of the CPU and 600MB of the memory is used.

Just for information, it took me 1 hour to complete the initial setup because it was very slow.

RTC 2.0 was working without any problem on the same VMWare image.

Probably something is wrong with my configuration. Any link or information would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

Jean-Claude

Hey Jean-Claude,
It may not necessarily be your configuration. Check this bug for more info:

We have higher h/w requirements for 3.0 compared to 2.0.
