Jazz Team Server and DB2

Carlos Duclos (2131) | asked Nov 14 '10, 1:48 p.m.
Hi guys. Does anyone know, how can I create more than 10 users with the Jazz Team Server?. I've heard something related with DB2, but I'm not sure. If someone can explain me or maybe give me a link with a guide I'll be very grateful.

With the Derby database, you are limited to at most 10 Developer
licenses, but the number of Contributor licenses is not limited. (A
developer puts far more load on the server than a contributor, and the
Derby database is not up for more than 10 concurrently active
developers). So you would have to use a real database (DB2, Oracle,
etc.) if you want more than 10 Developer licenses to be used.

Geoff

Thanks you Geoff. You've cleared my doubt. Just one more thing. Do you know about some link with a guide explaining Jazz Team Server and DB2?

There is documentation on how to configure the Jazz Team Server to use
DB2. Look up "Setting up a DB2 database" in the documentation (e.g.
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rtc/v2r0m0/index.jsp ).
