Insight/RCR configure multiple RQM data sources supported?

Hi,

I have read the article about Insight and RQM on developerworks.

but it is not described how to report over multiple RQM project areas.
What I have done:
Starting Point:
RCR and RQM 2.0.1ifix05 configured and working (both ETL and live DS)
1. created a new project area in RQM "A"
2. configured new Ressource Group A in XML Data Configuration for for live and DW config.
3. created 2 ODBC connections for A and A live
4. for the RQM and RQM (ETL) DS in Cognos Administartion I added a 2. connection to A and A live ODBC DS.
5. I run the ETL job and testet to access the live DS as well

Q1: I can access the data of both project areas. Is this the way how to do this right?
Q2: Do I have to set/unset "Link to existing ressource group" in XML Data Configuration dialog?
