What is .asset file of any asset? From where can we get it for a particular asset and can we make changes in it in order to modify the asset?

Hi,

It is an internal file and not to be modified by users. That is why it
is in the .settings directory.

You should use the official RAM Client API to modify assets programatically.

Hi Rich,

Where is .settings directory located? Actually for the workaround of one issue, we are asked by RAM Support to remove the invalid attribute references from some problematic assets by using the RAM eclipse client and importing the asset and using the standard text editor, updating the .asset file for that asset... then updating the asset.
So I think as a Repository Admin, we can perform this task.
Thanks in advance for your help on this.

Hi,

You noeed to go back to RAM support directly to give you that kind of
information. That is a one-off for your particular problem kind of thing.
