Changing the names of WebSphere resources
Hi,
Is it possible to change the name of the WebSphere resources that are created when RAM is installed? Things I am thinking of are the JNDI names for the DataSources and the name of the service integration bus. Although there may be some other items as well. The reason I ask is that there are naming standards where I work and they would prefer these items to be named appropriately.
Cheers.

That can be done by hand since Websphere (J2EE) has mapping capabilities
to map the names defined in Websphere to those that are used by the EAR
itself.
However, the setup and install program doesn't work with this. So the
best bet is to first install RAM using the defaults and Server setup and
then use the Websphere admin console to rename the JNDI resources and
map them to the EAR.

Hi Rich,
That's what I expected the answer to be. I needed to check though as it is preferred that all resources follow a naming standard.
Thanks for your help.

Doing this will totally confuse
Server Setup. You won't be able to use Server Setup to maintain the RAM
installation or install a new version of RAM later.
