How to share Work Item Queries with other project areas?

I just checked this myself and indeed, only the current Project Team shows up. Is this possibly a bug? Either way, this would be a good feature to have unless sharing is done in another fashion than adding team.

This is not currently supported, because the schema of objects in one
project area can differ from the schema of objects in another project
area, so queries in one project area might not be valid against another
project area.

On the other hand, the query might be valid in multiple project areas.
Support for this is requested in the RTC work item 66769 and 94575.
