Link to an RTC artifact and have it open in the client ?

How can I link to an RTC artifact (work item, iteration plan) and have that link open in the local client, not my web browser?

I can add links to Lotus Notes documents/databases, and they will open in my Lotus Note client. Can I do the same with RTC artifacts?
