Preserving work item data in archive formats

Hi

In the geography I work in there is a legal requirement to preserve all the contents of work items for up to seven years after completion of a project.

Hence we need a way to export all the contents of a work item, including attachments into some archive file format such as XML that could then be accessed at a later date if required using either RTC or other Tools. The RTC work item export facility in the eclipse client goes part of the way to doing this, however, it cannot export work item attachments.

Other tools such as BugZilla have the ability to do this sort of thing.

Archiving the project using the RTC project archive facility is not useful, as the whole RTC environment is likely to be decommissioned on completion of the project.

Is anyone aware of any suitable ways to export all the work item data that would meet my requirements ?

Thanks in advance

Rob
