missing preview tab in birt

after installing birt 2.6.2 on RTC 4.0.4

throw Help-Install New Software from site :http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios

the tab Preview is missing near tab XML Source

do I need another jar to download ?

Check to make sure that your installation includes the plug-in "org.eclipse.birt.report.designer.ui.preview.web" - this is where the preview tab is defined.

I've got

org.eclipse.birt.report.designer.ui.preview.web_2.6.2.r262_v20110127.jar &

org.eclipse.birt.report.designer.ui.preview.web.source_2.6.2.r262_v20110127.jar

but cant see it.

The only other thing I can suggest is to try uninstalling/reinstalling BIRT.  You could also check your Eclipse log to see if there are any related errors.

My conclusion:

Birt 2.6.2 can run only on RTC 4.0.1.

any newer version can't hold birt.

Shmulik,

I am running RTC 4.0.4, with BIRT 2.6.2 installed, and I can see the preview tab in the report editor.
