text editing questions

I had a couple of questions about the text editing features...

1. Is there a way to adjust the line spacing?

2. I noticed when I turned on "center alignment" it worked fine, but when I hit enter, I expect to stay in center alignment mode, but I returned to left justified and needed to highlight and select center alignment for each line or just type in the entire thing, then select center alignment. working as designed?
