How RRC uses RPE templates for generating reports internally

Hi All,

How does RRC use RPE templates for generating reports internally?

Please guide as I am not getting any specification file (.dsx) on RRC server.

I am more interested in knowing how data sources are getting configured internally? And the way for applying values for external variables too.

Please do provide any help topics or links.

Thanks,

Sandip

In the RRC Help contents, under Managing and composing requirements -> Working with projects and artifacts -> Creating Reports

there are two sub topics

1. Reports
2. Report Data Source Reference (at the bottom you will find "Adding/modifying report templates on the server")

Note: Currently RRC only supports .dta files

C:\Program Files\IBM\RRCS20\server\conf\rdm\reporting\initialization\templates\rpe

My understanding is that document specification is not supported in the current version. So I have submitted this ER http://jazz.net/jazz03/web/projects/Rational%20Requirements%20Composer#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=31294

As to data sources and variables, I think RRC would provide you wizard to input the values. However, it doesn't seem to work properly at the moment.
