PDF creation either prints partially or throws error

Hello,

The PDF function seems unstable. The Test Plan does not print all sections. The Test Case does not print all sections or throws a '500 Empty Region' error.

Help! I need a hardcopy to print for my testers quickly!

Hi,

RQM 2.0.1 has print pdf issues. You can try your luck with the below link to get your test plan working

http://jazz.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10315

What we observed is that, if we try to copy/paste any text directly from a word doc we get "Http 500..." error.

Thanks,
Mithila

Here is a worksround I found that might help.

Note: In order for this wo tork, you need a PDF printer installed such as Adobe PDF Pro, or the free Bullzip PDF printer.

1. Open the artifact (Test Plan or Test Case as an example)
2. Select the Print Preview printer icon
(This is left of the PDF icon. It will render all sections on a single web page. Give it a momemnt to generate)
3. Once fully rendered into the print preview mode, then simply print to a PDF printer.

Hope this is helpful for you. It's still a bug and only seems to impact Custom sections.

Cheers,

KW

    Hi Jeanne,

First let me apologize for any trouble you've been having with the PDF function in RQM. I'm the Print Component development lead and I'm very interested in figuring out why it wasn't working for you so I can get it fixed ASAP.

Can you tell me what version of RQM you are using, and elaborate on the problems you've been having. I'm especially interested in knowing more about the content you were trying to print (like, was it copied from MS Word originally?). It would also help to know what browser/version you were using.

    Thanks.
