Creating a new work item (copy of existing one)

Hi,
We'd like to create a new work item (by duplicating an existing one). Is it possible to do this? We'd like one that we can customizze to fit our needs without changing the existing ones.

Hi

Are you trying to copy an actual work item, or the work item type?

To copy an actual work item, this is an option on the work item itself (open up the work item, go to the item name above the summary and use the triangle to display the menu, select duplicate).

Copying a work item type by going into the project properties and look at the Process Configuration tab. It is probably easier to find the work item definition in the Process Configuration Source tab and copy the XML related to your work item.
