Ask a question

This user was not found in the directory service.

Using the IBM Installation manager I updated RQM to 2.0.0.1 iFix 5 I20100328_0509. It all went well and RQM runs and everything, except for users not being able to log in. The error message I get is this:

This user was not found in the directory service. This user will not be able to login unless they have an account in the directory service.

I can still create new users and a new user can log in no problem. What are my options now? I can only archive old users - i.e. I would have to create new username for every user which would be highly inconvenient. Are there any other options?

Thank you

Prokop

The quick and easy way to get the users back is from your backed up tomcat users.xml. Before updating, you would have backed up this file, copy the file on to conf directory.

Hope this helps

Yes, it helped a great deal. I was actually able to recreate users one by one in tomcat-users.xml.
