Restrict user picker to only show users in project - how?

Say that I have two project areas in RTC, A and B. User X has access to project A, and user Y has access to project B. Both projects are restricted with no read access for users outside the respective project.

So far all good. User X can only see project A when using whatever client, and Y can only see B.

Then user X want to create an work item and assign an owner. In the user picker he enters *, and the user listing then returns both user X and Y.

So my question is: Is there any way to restrict the user picker only to show users that has at least read permissions?

I do not believe there is a way to do this currently, but I agree that
this is desirable ... I've submitted work item 113118 requesting this
functionality. Please feel free to add comments to this work item to
indicate your interest/support.

Cheers,
Geoff
