Modeling team of teams?

Vincent Lim (4694) | asked Feb 18 '08, 1:44 a.m.
Hello All,

Has anyone figure out how to model a team of teams concept?

Ie. Project is 3G Project
Team Area A - Country A Team
Team Area B - Country B Team

Country A Function Subteam 1
Country A Function Subteam 2
Country A Function Subteam 3

Country B Function Subteam 1
Country B Function Subteam 2

This is to facilitate build and reporting control, and to mirror the business organization.

Creating team areas at project root level especially when we are talking about a 50+ teams is daunting.

I am unsure whether I understand your question or not. Team areas can form a hierarchy. You can create a team area as a child of another team area. Select the parent team area in the Team Organization view and select New > Team Area from the context menu. You can also use File > New > Team Area and select the parent team area in the wizard explicitly.

Thanks, that answer my question. I have been thrown off by the way the stream are arranged, aka flat structure at stream "root".
