What happened to the reporting step in Test Scripts? 201

Cathy Caston (61) | asked Apr 16 '10, 9:33 p.m.
When we did our evaluation of RQM, we used 2.0 and 2.0.0.1. There were 2 types of steps available - reporting and execution. It was one of the things that sold me on using RQM. Now we are "live" and have been upgraded to 2.0.1.

I see only execution step and no little arrow next to it to change it to a reporting step.

Is this functionality gone?

BTW I am using FireFox 3.6.3.

thanks for any clue...Help says it still exists.

Hi
The option of adding a reporting step is still there.
Look for the arrow to the right of the step, click on it and you can select to set the step to be a "Reporting Step"

Oh the arrow which is all the way over the other side... I'm sure there was an arrow/dropdown menu next to the step type icon in previous releases.

Thanks much...

Is there any functionality behind the reporting step in a manual script ? I expected to be able to check all reporting steps had passed in a a report or at least know how many passed against not executed.

My tech person tells me it's redundant feature and used only for automation. ???????
