Jazz Defects and ODC capability

Hello,

I am a new user to Jazz and evaluating its current capabilities for my team. Currently, it does not look like it is set up to do ODC (Orthogonal Defect Classification) as part of it's defect capabilities. If I'm wrong or if it is planned for a future release, can you please let me know? Also, it does not look to difficult to modify the defect work item to include this capability. Please advise me if that is the best path to take.

IMO, all fields like Activity, Trigger, Source, Age etc. can be added
using custom attributes (mainly using large strings and enumerations),
so you should already be able to extend the defect work item type along
the lines of ODC.

We have a highly customized ClearQuest schema which includes ODC and JMystic. I understand that work items can be customized within Jazz, however is there a mechanisim to enforce conditional logic between these custom fields?

In our ClearQuest environment, there are a whole set of validation rules which are enforced based on the value of a given ODC field. For example, field value B is required only if field value A is "xyz". Or the valid values for field B depend on the selected value of field A.

If we can not mimic this logic in Jazz, I believe that we'll have all types of valiation errors when we attempt to synchronize work items with CQ records using the CQ Connector.

Doese anyone else have this scenario? or better yet a solution?
