Start BuildForge projects in RQM on Labmanager reserved m/c
We have a Build Forge7.1 installation which we have managed to integrate to a RQM 2 install.
We can synchronize the servers etc fine However we have a scenario wherein we want that a user does the below 1. Reserve a machine/s in Lab Manager 2. Start a Build Forge Project run using the above specific reserved machine/s only. Also The Build Forge Project Start Page will have some variables to be entered so I essentially would like to start from the Build Forge project start page once I am done with reserving the machines. Is there any adapter or any solution to achieve this. Can we start BuildForge Projects from RQM similar to RFT scripts etc? |

Hello,
You can run any BuildForge projects or libraries directly from RQM in the Lab Management->All Automation view. Data is passed to BF projects through "Environment Blocks". Any environment data associated with the project will be settable from the RQM UI At runtime. Default values will also show up in RQM. The one part we are lacking is only allowing the project to be run against a reserved machine. We have meant to add that for a long time but never got to it. It is still under consideration for our 3.0 release. Regards, John We have a Build Forge7.1 installation which we have managed to integrate to a RQM 2 install. |
I am using RQM v2
I have intergrated it with Rational build forge. In RQM, I can see all build forge agent machines in the lab view. But how to run a build forge project or library from RQM Hello, We have a Build Forge7.1 installation which we have managed to integrate to a RQM 2 install. |
If you are successfully integrated, go to Lab Management -> All Automation in RQM.
You should see your BF projects/libraries listed in that view. If not, click the "refresh" icon in the upper right hand corner of the view to re-fetch them. If that still does not work, inspect the RQM console and see if you have an error.
