Using RTC 2.0.0.2 with Visual Studio 2010 RC

Is it possible to use 2.0.0.2 with vs2010RC? I understand if it's not yet officially supported, but we need to be evaluating this now.

Thanks

I believe the plan (which you can check on the Projects section of jazz.net) will say this will be supported once VS 2010 is released.

Are you able to try this out with the current release of VS in the meantime?

We are using RTC 2.0.0.2 with VS2008 currently.

I have not tried to install 2.0.0.2 in VS2010 yet. This thread https://jazz.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7695&highlight=vs2010

... seems to indicate that is isn't enabled in the install for RTC 2.0.0.2, but maybe I am not reading it right.

I didn't want to waste time trying, if its not possible or doesn't really work.

We cannot officialy support VS 2010 until it's out. We're testing the 2002 bits to make sure we work with whatever VS 2010 releases are out so far and we have an iFix planned in May where we will officially support VS 2010 (which last I heard is scheduled to be released on April 12).
Unfortnately due to legal restrictions, we cannot allow users to try out RTC 2002 against VS 2010 until it's officially released, so our installer won't let you install RTC against it.

Now that it is out, is there a better story? Do you have a pre-release version that will work with it? If not, is early May still the target?

Thanks

We do have a well-defined story now. We have early releases planned in the first and 3rd weeks of May and GA in June. This will be 2.0.0.2 iFix 3.
