How to stop a build that has been running for 8 hours

Sheetal Desai (91188) | asked Mar 12 '10, 12:16 p.m.
The build result shows the build has been in progress for over 8 hours. The only option available to to Abandon teh build request but I am not sure that is teh correct thing to do.

I stopped the build engine but the build still shows as In Progress.

Any help is appreciated.
