"No service providers available for possible link types
![](http://jazz.net/_images/myphoto/dc0146532e8803b98cfe19b162257312.jpg)
When I try to link an RTC project to an RRC project I get this error ("No service providers available for possible link types"). I have the RRC server successfully set up in cross-server communications as a trusted friend.
Interestingly, I can create a link the other direction (RRC -> RTC), but get errors when trying to link an RTC work item to an RRC artifact.
Any thoughts? I suspect that, for some reason, one side does not think that the other server is to be trusted (even though both are so configured).

Just figured it out. Instead of "https://rrc:9445/rdm/rootservices" I used "https://rrc:9445/jazz/rootservices" when setting up cross-server communications. Yikes.

Gary,
I meant that as a reference how to set it up. Especially how the rootservices are called for the different projects.
Other than that my experience is a mix. Especially RRC is pretty unwilling to run. I had a similar situation as yours. RTC, RQM are easy to deal with.
I reinstalled RRC once to set it up after running into a similar situation as yours.
Note you have to have different host names for the different products today. Our proposed setup is for different machines for each product server today. It can be made to run on one machine but you need to know how to handle it.
RRC also has a fronting server and a jazz server which makes it harder to maintain. i am just now beginning how to.....

Thanks, Ralph. My particular error isn't listed in the table in the document you referenced. Perhaps it's worth adding?
