AMDx64 support

Thanh Nguyen (76) | asked Apr 24 '07, 2:48 p.m.
Hi all,

I am running Windows Vista 64 on a AMD 64 X2 3800 processor. I tried
both jdk from Sun (64bit and 32 bit version) and I got the same can not
start VM error message. Both of the JDK seem to work using the command
line. Will Jazz support this at one point or is there an option I should
put in the eclipse.ini file to make it work?

Thank you,

Thanh

Can you please specify what exactly do you want to run? Is it the RTC Eclipse client?
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I suppose the processor you mentioned is an Athlon, which would make it x86 compatible (and thus supported). It would be helpful if you could paste a screenshot of your error message and clarify what you mean by "Both of the JDK seem to work using the command line".

When using IBM  products, the IBM jdk that we ship  should be used.
