Repo connection drops while exporting work items

One of our end-users is experiencing a strange issue while exporting Work Items. We are running RTC Jazz Server 2.0.0.2 RC1 and she is running 2.0ifix1-Win version of RTC eclipse client. On the "Choose Attributes to Export" dialog, she changes the value in Show column from "Label" to "Internal Value" for one attribute. Her repository connection gets dropped and a 0-byte CSV file is created. A message appears in parenthesis next to her repository connection "(failed to login to <our_rtc_server_url>)". Everything works fine if she leaves the value in the Show column as default "Label". It should be noted that another end-user (who works near her) is able to do what she is not able to do. Any suggestions?
Thanks-Tim

A bug in this area has been fixed for 2.0.0.2:
https://jazz.net/jazz/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/87523

It is strange though that this seems to work on one machine but not the
other. The export code runs on the server, so it should behave
identically on both clients even if they differ in their version number.

Could you check the log files both on the client and the server if there
is any error entry?

Hi Patrick,
Where is the RTC Eclipse Client log located? I searched my jazz/client/eclipse directory structure but could not seem to locate any log. Regarding related bug, do you think this issue will go away if we upgrade our RTC Jazz Server to 2.0.0.2 GA?
Thanks -Tim

Hi Tim,

On the client, you can open the 'Error Log' view (Windows -> Show View
-> Error Log)

For the server, you can access this URL
https://server:9443/jazz/events?category=SystemLog

Upgrading to 2.0.0.2 might solve the problem, I could only tell for sure
if I see the exception from the server log.

Please note that you should probably also enable 'WS Logging Exceptions'
in the Advanced Properties page of the Server Admin Web UI.

Hi Patrick,

We are observing this issue again, but one other thing I observed is that, the issue of consistently wherein my repository connection was dropping when on the "Choose Attributes to Export" dialog, I changed the value in Show column from "Label" to "Internal Value" only for Custom attributes. I have also enabled the 'WS Logging Exceptions' in the Advanced Properties page of the Server Admin Web UI as indicated, however did not find any exceptions in the server logs accessed through https://server:9443/jazz/events?category=SystemLog other than the below errror:
WARN - Closing an already closed DeleteOnCloseFileInputStream
Closing an already closed DeleteOnCloseFileInputStream
Location
com.ibm.team.repository.service.internal.ContentService$DeleteOnCloseFileInputStream.close(ContentService.java:220)

Please do let me know the further steps to resolve this issue.

Thanks,
Kavya.
