Baseline Comparison Report and Checksum Generation in EWM

Hi Team,

I have a requirement related to baseline comparison and checksum generation in EWM.

Scenario:

Project Name: Example Project
Stream: Development Stream
Component: Development Component
Folder inside component: Source Code Folder (used to maintain source code files and build files)

In our client environment, multiple departments are involved, including Development, SQA, and IV and V teams.

Once the development team finalizes the code, they upload the build into the Source Code Folder within the Development Component.

For example:

• After uploading the initial build, a baseline is created as V 1.0.0.0.

• After uploading the final build, another baseline is created as V 1.0.0.1.

Now we need to compare these two baselines.

Questions:

1. Is it possible in EWM to compare two baselines and generate a comparison report?

   • Can we export or download the comparison result as a report within EWM?

2. Is there any built-in functionality in IBM EWM to generate checksum or checksum reports for build artifacts?

   • If not, what is the recommended approach to generate and maintain checksum information for baselined builds?

Any guidance or best practices would be appreciated.
