This page summarizes all public APIs for the Jazz products: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/ELMProductAPILanding

For ETM that are OSLC and the reportable REST API. See the links for the documentation. OSLC is an open standard.

This blog talks about the most important concepts in the context of EWM: https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/2021/09/29/using-the-ewm-rest-and-oslc-apis/ many of the concepts used for the OSLC and the Reportable REST API will apply also to ETM.
Note that - only for ETM -  the name Reportable REST API is misleading. This API also allows POST, PUT etc. which are not report operations.

1) API to create /Update categories with values
2) Response body sample for each case[Update and Create]
Those details will be of great help
