How to merge multiple modules into one module within a component in DOORS NG?

I am not really deep into DoorsNext, but, as far as I know, modules are just containers for requirements. You can, I believe, copy requirements or add requirements to a module. You can select and copy in one module and then paste in another. There is no merge motion I am aware of. Merge would mean different versions of the same module. Just my 2 cents.

That's correct, there is no option to merge requirements. User can copy artifacts from one module to another or even choose Cut and Paste as well.
