Common RTC query across different project areas

 Hi,

I would like to create a common RTC query that can be shared across the different project areas. We have some custom attributes in these project areas which are part of the process template. When we try to add them in LQE data source reports, each project area there is one entry for each of the custom attributes.

Hence, we would like to try for a common RTC query that can be added as part of the template.

Thanks and Regards,

If you have defined a custom attribute in different EWM project areas, and these are meant to be semantically equivalent, then you should define the same external RDF URI across them. Report Builder will then show a single custom attribute that can be queried across those project areas. This is all part of definining consistent type systems across project areas. If you do not do this, Report Builder will regard them as separate distinct attributes with different semantics, and show a warning that you have multiple different attributes of the same name.

 Hi David,

Thank you for your response. It really helped in understanding why we are seeing so many entries in the report. Is there any specific format how this "External RDF URI" should be defined in the workitems?

Thanks and Regards,

I suggest you read https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/LinkedData/BestPractices and its child pages.

Please see Davids answer in the comment. In addition consider the following.

The question is really about reports and not queries. EWM Work Item Queries only work on work items associated to one project area.
