How to make live links from DOORS to Rhapsody with Gateway

 Hi all,

I'm new to Rhapsody Gateway and was hoping someone can help me with a problem?

Is it possible to link DOORS Classic requirements to Rhapsody such that I can see any DOORS updates in Rhapsody as I make them (a little bit like layout/attribute dxl displaying linked object data in DOORS)?

NB I am open to other methods, not just Gateway.

Many thanks in advance

 Hi Calum..

That might be possible with OSLC links. But for this, you'd need to have Rhapsody Model Manager enabled and Rhapsody model to be shared on Architecture Management application, which is now a component in the CCM application in the ELM.

Then you can define OSLC links in DOORS Classic to link model elements from Architecture Management (Rhapsody).

And you also need to have DOORS Web Access to provide requirement information to Architecture Management via OSLC.

Not sure if this exactly covers your question because this way you only see DOORS requirements in Rhapsody. Not importing them. And has a lot of prework like setup the CCM application (if you do not use it yet), upload model to CCM, setup DWA etc..

But if you already have these set up, then that might be useful. Hope this helps..

Thanks Kerim,

The only problem is we don't have DWA and are not likely to get it, but I shall look into the other aspects you've listed and see if I can find a work around for DWA.

Hi Calum.. Sorry I missed your answer. Just wanted to add that if you already have DOORS Classic, you should already be entitled to DWA cause it is all included in the DOORS Family license. That is valid for the perpetual licenses actually. If you are running on tokens, that is another story for sure..
