Is there any way to get the progress information for stories in the result of a query?

When you look at a story there is a field in the "Details" section "Progress" but I have found no way to get this information in any other way, e.g. when defining a query.

Sorry, that information can not be queried yet. At this stage it is
contributed by the Agile Planning component and a computed value which
isn't stored in the database.

However, for 3.0 the Work Item team will enhance their attribute story
which will allow for computed values and database storage.
