How to get notified when a file changes?

Darren Dunne (111) | asked Dec 02 '09, 11:34 a.m.
Is there some way for a user to be notified whenever a specific file changes?

For example, our Automation team needs to be notified whenever a Developer changes a Silent Install response file (so that they can modify their automation scripts). I could see similar scenarios where an I18N translation team would need to be automatically notified whenever we add a a new message that requires translation.

Notification would preferably be via email, but even something in the event log would be OK. Worst case, could they create some sort of query that they could run periodically to see if one of the files they were interested in has been changed recently?

Thanks for any suggestions.

JAZZ DEVELOPER
'When' is a file denoted as changed? On delivery to streams? You might be
able to write a process advisor that takes action and emails people?

If you have automated builds setup, maybe you can modify the scripts
described here:
