JAZZ & Rational Software Analyzer EE - Error Installatio
Hi,
? I tried to install Jazz 1.0 version on top Rational Sotware Analyzer Enterprise Edition. During the Jazz installation with the Installation Manager, I disabled the Sametime feature. At the end of installation I received this error: Error during the "complete" phase: The bundle "com.ibm.help.gallery.cat_7.5.1.v20080520" can't be installed in the Eclipse configuration because it is not equivalent with the installed bundle "com.ibm.help.gallery.cat_1.0.1". How can I resolve this problem? Thanks a lot |

Hi,
jes I tried to install RSA EE on top Rational Team Concert, but at the end of the installation the error, that I have mentioned, occurs. |
Hi Federica,
It looks like you will need to install the 7.0.0.1 (iFix001) version of Rational Software Analayzer EE. It appears that the 7.0.0 version included an older help plugin with an incompatible version. -James Jazz Install Team |

Hi James, Federica,
I am also thinking about installing RSAR into RTC and eventually trying to use RSAR in a build. However, unfortunately the iFix001 does not support being installed without installing RSAR first. So the only option I see is installing into another shell for now, updating and installing RTC into this shell. This would require me to uninstall RTC first. Any thoughts about other ways? Any hints about how to use Software Analyzer EE in a RTC Build would also be apprechiated. Thanks, Ralph Hi Federica, |

However, unfortunately the iFix001 does not support being installed Hi Ralph, I can see a couple of options: 1. You could install RSAR with the ifix into its own package group, install RTC into it, and then uninstall your standalone RTC instance (or leave it if you like). The trick is not uninstalling your standalone RTC instance first. This will make the install much faster as IM will not need to download any of the artifacts again since it already has them. I'm assuming your objection was just the time it takes to go through the install over a potentially slow connection... 2. Since it appears you are an internal (IBM) consumer of RTC, you should be able to obtain an installable version of RSAR + the ifix001 (i.e. not just an update). I can provide you a pointer via e-mail if you like. I do not know if RSAR provides a refresh pack that includes ifix001 for external customers at this time. -James Jazz Install Team |

Hi James,
I'd appreciate the link. I had a look into the description of the IFix and id says there is no packged version including the IFix,but if you know where that would be great. Also I am looking into extending my demos to have RSAR included in a build if possible. Any hints how to do that would be great. Thanks, Ralph |
Ralph,
I sent you an e-mail with the information for the internal site. Hopefully someone else can chime in on your second question. -James Jazz Install Team rschoon wrote: Hi James, |

Hi Chemi,
I got distracted and stopped trying it. The information you posted recently will be very helpful in the future though. Thanks!
