repotools -createTables isn't necessary in RRC 2.0?

Hi guys,

The RRC 2.0 documentation doesn't mention anything about repotools -createTables

https://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rpcmpose/v2r0/topic/com.ibm.rational.rrc.install_upgrade.doc/topics/t_install_server_top.html

This is a documentation issue ou in RRC 2.0 repotools -createTables isn't necessary?

Thanks

I asked but nevertheless I could not install without using the createTables, so I think this is necessary.

So, I opened a bug: https://jazz.net/jazz03/web/projects/Rational%20Requirements%20Composer#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=21245

rdm/setup should perform the createTools for you under the covers. There should be no reason for you to have to use repoTools directly.

hmmm... it not works for me.
rdm / setup (in "jazz" database test) showed me a warning asking me to use createTables first.

after exec repotools (common in RTC and RQM) everything is ok

but if you're saying that it is not necessary, ok

thanks

Yes, rdm/setup will inform you that you need to create the tables, but there's a button added right there in the web page that will then perform that function when pressed. You do not need to go out to a command line yourself in order to run repotools manually.

ok svan

I did not see this button, sorry.
This process is different from the RTC and RQM. But this is a good improvement :)

Thanks.
