DNG : Is it possile to manage view with API ?

Jean-François CHAPELLE (6414) | asked Feb 18 '20, 2:47 a.m.

In DNG (v6.0.5 an more), is it possible to manage view with an API (create new view, rename existing view, modify the structure of an existing view ...)

A such possibility will be very usefull, especially if you have some DNG projects with several components.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Jean-Francois,

You can use Open Services for Lifcycle Management API for this

You can learn the DOORS Next OSLC API using the workshop at

https://jazz.net/library/article/635

You can also use RM Extensions to do this.

Here are the RM extension links for reference.

https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RMExtensionsMain

And have a read of the current DNG API at
https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RMExtensionsAPI6061

This should give you an idea of how to get started and there are some example provided so you can see how they work.

Thank you, but I already know this documents and I don't see any methods for managing views.

I know that I am demanding, but I am looking for a minimum of somewhat "structured" documentation, unfortunately since I have been browsing the forums, I do not find much or the research takes a long time ...

Thanks again for this information, but I can't find what I'm looking for ...

Regards.
