Setting up CLM on HTTP

We are using load balancer for SSL offloading infront of IBM HTTP server for our CLM ( WAS base 8.5.5.13) environment. CLM is currently running on https. Can we run CLM on http as we dont want SSL offloading at IHS level also. What are the limitations of running CLM on HTTP.
