How to migrate from VSS 6.0 to RTC 6.0.6?

 Hi all,


I am migrating data's from VSS 6.0 to RTC 6.0.6. I would like to know the steps for migration with full history. Kindly assist and provide information regarding my query to move forward.

Answer

No. There is no direct Integration/Migration to RTC from Microsoft SourceSafe.

WorkAround:


To import the data from VSS to RTC is a 2 step process ...

  • Import your code from VSS to Subversion (SVN) using a vss-to-svn import tool


  • Then you use the RTC svn importer to import from there into RTC.

    The link has detailed information on migrating SVN code into RTC.
